Film crew required

MA Scriptwriting Melissa Hermanny is one of six finalists from over one hundred entrants in a recent BBC Writersroom short script competition. Her Bath Spa short is a vengeful ghost story in the vein of Asian horror. It has no dialogue and will be shot in B&W and entered into festivals. Please note that there will be a few 8am starts due to this being the only time the library is completely empty. If you are interested in being considered for one of the technical roles (camera, boom, editing, lights) and can commit to a few early starts and some afternoons then please email Melissa directly (Melissa.Hermanny11@bathspa.ac.uk). Experience preferred but enthusiasm and reliability more important. This is a good opportunity for showreels.

Old Film/New Digital: The story remains the same

19th March 1pm-2pm – How to make Feature Films in the Digital Age

Film professionals, feature length and short film makers gather for an open discussion led by Nic Jeune and Rob Brown from MA in Feature Filmmaking at Bath Spa University.

Digital is changing how we make films. What do we learn from the new ways stories are told? What should we keep from the age of film? How low is low? What next for cameras? What will cinema look like in 2020? Come and join the lunchtime conversation with film directors, film producers, film financiers and film festival promoters.
